Cardio Sculpt Circuit: This 45 min Circuit is very athletic-based, including a combination of cardio and muscle conditioning exercises. Sometimes it may be more body resistance exercises but one things for sure – you’ll never get bored! This class will give you lots of “bang for your buck”!
Easy Fit Yoga Stretch: Limber up and relax! This class involves light cardio moves combined with strengthening exercises and yoga-based stretching; geared to the 50+ but all ages are welcome.
HIIT the Barre: Barre workouts train the entire body while targeting and sculpting specifically the butt, legs, abs and arms. This 55 min class is an athletic fusion of elements from dance, Pilates, Yoga and weight resistance done both standing and on the mat in combination with short high intensity cardio intervals. What a combo! The benefits of Barre conditioning include creating long, lean muscles, as well as improved posture and flexibility. While quickly becoming a favourite workout of those “in the know”, NRG is pleased to bring the Barre to Uxbridge! HIIT (high intensity interval training) is ever-popular as it offers a lot of “bang for the buck” giving fantastic cardio and fat-burning results. These short bursts of high intensity are added at the end of various Barre exercises in a fusion workout unlike any other!
Equipment Circuit: This 45-minute circuit will include a combination of cardio machines, free weights, strength training machines and even mat work sometimes for core work and a stretch. Whether you’re popping in after work and looking for a guided athletic workout or you’re a bit early for the row circuit, this makes a great option. Join-in for some motivation and to become more familiar with our great equipment.
Express Circuit: This circuit is fun, fast-paced, time-efficient and athletic! In only 45 min’s you’ll move from station to station working from head to toe while scorching lots of calories. Combine this class with the Box ‘N Sculpt Interval (or do part of that class) that follows or simply do as a stand alone workout knowing you’ve covered all the bases!
Express Core: The core is more than just our abs! In this 30 min workout, we’ll use various fun tools to create instability which will wake up not only deep abdomen muscles but also the various stabilizers of the back. Results will be seen in your daily activities especially balance and stability. Various options will be given for each exercise so this class is great for everyone! If you really want a lot of bang for your buck, stay for Express Core for a 60 min workout that gives you conditioning too…if you want 90 min’s, stay for Express Spin!
Express Interval: Short on time? High intensity interval training (HIIT’s) are for you! This class is designed to help you burn the most calories effectively in 30 minutes. Various interval timing protocols are used from Tabatas – 20 second of work with 10 second of rest to 30/20/10 (hard/harder/hardest) and more traditional intervals which have 50% rest to work. If you like circuit training you will love this class! It’s athletic with a variety of various equipment used from BOSU to weights to balls, bands, discs etc…each week, it’s different. There’s no boredom here! While this is a fast-paced class, various options will be given. Everyone can do interval training as long as we listen to our body’s and take more rest as necessary.
Express Row: Rowing is an awesome total body conditioning, low-impact workout that works over 9 major muscle groups and 80%of your muscle stroke with every stroke. Done in a group format along with intervals of strength training, the time flies! Our unique, wooden water rowers give you an authentic rowing experience as you hear the sound of the water while you strengthen your heart and lungs, burn calories plus sculpt from head to toe (all in only 30 minutes)! If you want more cardio endurance and have the time, then combine this class with the Express Spin!
Express Spin: For those looking for a Spin class that’s shorter in duration, the 30 min Express Spin is your class! Group cycling is a great cardio workout and awesome lower body conditioner. Combine this class with the Express Core and even Express Tabata if you have time! Mix and match as your time will allow. Group cycling is full of camaraderie and motivating music. Your instructor will take you on a shorter cycling journey with lots of options given to accommodate all levels.
Flow Yoga: This class is a combination of Vinyasa flow style Yoga fused with more dynamic Hatha Yoga poses. Through the asanas (poses) we will strengthen and tone the physical body while breathing and relaxation practices encourage peace of mind and inner balance. Yoga is for everyone – flexibility is not required!
Gentle Flow Yoga: A calming, Stress relieving yoga class to stretch and strengthen the entire body gradually. With minimal Floor to Standing transitions this class is great for beginners, seniors, or anyone looking for a great stretch.
Yin Yoga: Need a deeper stretch this week? Try Yin yoga, a class that targets some of the deepest tissues in the body as well as working through the fascia networks in the body. You will hold poses for longer here than a typical Flow class.
Muscle Fusion: An upbeat muscle strength and endurance class that will challenge every muscle including the core. A great overall workout that uses the bosu, stability ball, weights, tubing and medicine balls.
Pilates Barre Fusion: A fun body sculpting workout that combines the precision and core strength of Pilates with the positions and technique of Barre along with the alignment and flexibility of Yoga. The resulting format is simple and effective with options given for all levels. A great class to tighten all the “problem” areas from top to bottom!
Rockin’ Row Circuit: strength training and cardio in a one-time efficient workout! This class utilizes our special designed water rowers to provide short burst, high-energy, calorie torching intervals along with functional strength and sculpting stations designed to target and chisel those legs, the core and arms. You will find yourself working harder than you ever imagined because of the camaraderie, friendly team competition and motivation designed to encourage you to your max effort and provide the results you’re looking for.
Express Row & Express Spin: (“Surf & Turf”!) – This unique low impact all cardio format combines 30 min’s of total body conditioning indoor water rowing (aka the “surf”) with the ever-popular indoor group cycling (aka the “turf”) for another 30 min’s creating a class that is fast-paced and engaging from the first minute. You’ll be encouraged to work at your own pace while, strengthening the heart and lungs, burning calories, sculpting muscle and enjoying a fun interval workout in a uniquely motivating, team-oriented fitness environment all wrapped up with a rejuvenating stretch.
Step Interval: This class combines basic, athletic step movements with strength training intervals using various equipment like balls, bands and hand weights, to sculpt every muscle of your body – the hour will fly by! All fitness levels will be challenged while burning lots of calories.
Spin: This low-impact workout is a great way to condition your cardiovascular system while cross training to avoid injuries. Everyone can adjust the difficulty of the ride and are encouraged to workout at your own pace. Our brand new Titan bikes are the new standard with real bike feel, smooth pedaling and super comfortable seat with Shamino pedals.
Zumba: Known as “exercise in disguise”, Zumba® is a feel-happy workout that combines a motivating fusion of Latin and international music with easy to follow dance moves that allow participants to dance away their worries. A combination of fast and slow rhythms tone and sculpt the body, maximizing caloric output, fat burning and total body toning.
Conditioning Mix and Core: A unique muscle conditioning class which will strengthen the upper/lower body and core. A blend of weights, Pilates and the Bender Ball Method of core conditioning. Various equipment will be used each week to help improve muscle/core strength, balance and flexibility. All levels welcome!
